About The Edgar Snow Memorial Fund

Mary Clark Dimond, the late wife of Dr. E. Grey Dimond (creator of UMKC’s School of Medicine six-year baccalaureate/doctor of medicine degree), who was a good friend of Snow, founded the fund in honor of him. The fund sponsors a visiting professor from China to UMKC each year; it also offers scholarships to Chinese students at UMKC and UMKC students interested in studying in China.

Our Mission

The Edgar Snow Memorial Fund was set up to foster friendship and understanding among the people of China and the United States in the same spirit which marked the life and works of Edgar Snow.
